How to Use Intuition

Can you imagine what it would be like if you could align yourself with a team who had the ability to provide you with whatever you desired. A team who could provide the solutions to all of your problems, shows you astonishingly new possibilities and shows you how to take advantage of them, and finally, be with you every step of the way providing you with reliable, wise and solid advice exactly when you needed it. Well I have some fantastic news for you; you are already aligned with this team. It is already within you, it is called... intuition.

From the great history makers of yesteryear, to the great businessmen and sports stars of today, all had at least one thing in common, they all learned how to use and trust their intuition. The ability to come up with inspired and creative ideas, and make astute and successful business decisions is a primary secret of success, and the mark of someone who has committed to continuous personal growth.

Mozart claimed he received his inspiration from within. Socrates said that quite often he was guided by his internal voice, Henry Ford, Einstein, Madame Curie and many, many poet laureates have attributed the majority of their success to their intuition.

A study was once carried out by Henry Mintzberg, described in The Harvard Business review, on some high achieving corporate executives (some of whom where millionaires), in which he discovered that they were constantly relying on hunches to cope with problems far too complex for normal, rational thinking. Ted Turner, Billionaire founder of CNN, and one of the most successful and richest men in the world says, "Vision and Intuition go hand in hand with one another."

Ray Kroc bought McDonald's against the advice of many top lawyers and accountants because "it felt right in my funny bone." Not a bad "feeling" as it turns out, McDonald's is the world's most successful franchise. So paying attention to your "gut" enables an individual to make more effective decisions, to come up with more creative ideas and the ability to find the most direct and effective route from desire to fruition. You know the people I am talking about, the ones who always appear to be in the right place at the right time, who always seem to have good things happen, most probably you would describe them as lucky. But I can tell you it is not luck, it is that their intuition allows them to go beyond the average and come up with new possibilities and gives them the knowledge of how and when to use it.

Your conscious mind only knows and understands your own personal experiences and acquired knowledge, but your subconscious mind has access to all of the information contained within your "thinking system" and your intuition is how you reach it.

The Method to Access Your Intuition:

1) Sit quietly for several minutes and contemplate on the fact that you do indeed possess a powerful subconscious mind and that you can and will access this powerful life changing information contained within.

2) Speak to your subconscious mind with confidence and assurance, repeating over and over again what it is that you want it to do.

3) Relax and fill your mind with the faith and the expectancy that your subconscious mind will provide the answers you are looking for. Imagine how you will feel when you have the perfect solution. Feel those sensations now.

The 3-step process set out above, takes about 10 minutes, and is best done just before you go to sleep. This period between consciousness and sleep is commonly known as the best and most opportune time to reach the subconscious.

Certain attitudes and behaviors encourage intuition, and are worth your time to cultivate. Thoughts such as "I can't" or "I'll never" tell the intuition not to bother. Confident thoughts allied to the faith that you will receive the best answer to your problem, stirs the intuition into positive action, so don't hold back, give it your all, be firm with your subconscious and tell it that it's wisdom and knowledge are guiding you towards your goals.

The subconscious mind contains new ideas and new solutions in abundance, so don't limit yourself, all the solutions you will ever need already exist inside you. As the Upanishads say "All exists within" and once you recognise the omnipotent power contained within your subconscious mind you will never be short of a solution again.
